This article pertains to signature interviews recorded in our StoryBooths with a StoryCorps facilitator. Currently, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, in-person recording has been paused. If you are searching for information about recording a Signature interview with a StoryCorps Facilitator virtually, please go here.
A two-person interview is ideal for a StoryCorps recording. Our recording booths were specially created to be small spaces where intimate conversations could take place. While we can accommodate an additional person, a recording with more people may be uncomfortable and less optimal.
We suggest you do not bring children under the age of 10 to your interview. Young children may find it difficult to sit through a lengthy 40-minute recording without interruption. Also, if you will be recording with someone under the age of 18, please let us know in advance, as minors will need to get permission from their parent or legal guardian in order to have their stories archived.
