How do I invite members to join a community?

To invite people to join your community, community representatives will need to distribute a link to the established StoryCorps.me community page through your preferred communications channels; for example, via email or by posting it on your website. We highly recommend that you draft and include your custom question list with this communication. There is not a way to invite new members directly through the StoryCorps.me website.

Anyone who has the link (any member of the public) will be able to access the community page with or without logging into StoryCorps.me. However, users must be signed into their account to join the Community.

Here is sample text for inviting new community members:

“[Entity] has established a community on StoryCorps.me to help our members share stories. You’ve been invited to join the [entity] community on StoryCorps.me. Please follow this link to create an account on StoryCorps.me. Next, download the StoryCorps app to record and share your story with the community.”
