I would like to interview someone who doesn’t live near me. Can I call that person on my phone and record an interview on the app using the same phone?

No. It’s not possible to use your phone to call someone and simultaneously record an interview on the StoryCorps App.

If you are interested in recording with someone who is not in the same place as you, we recommend our new tool: StoryCorps Connect. StoryCorps Connect does not record phone calls, but will allow you and your interview partner to record remotely over the Internet.
