Using archive.storycorps.org, the StoryCorps App and StoryCorps Connect are all free. The only time we ask for payment is when you want to create a community using our advanced features. However, for a limited time, we're inviting all users to try out our advanced features for communities for free, so no payment is required. Users who plan to heavily utilize the communities tool may be interested in exploring some of the advanced features available for communities below.

Private Communities
All communities created on archive.storycorps.org are public, which means anyone on the web can view the list of members (i.e., usernames) and listen to the interviews (i.e., your community’s content). Once you have subscribed to our Advanced Features, you will have the option to create a “Private Community.”
Many organizations, schools and groups elect to use this feature to provide an extra layer of privacy for their members/participants. Creating a private community is an option when you anticipate your community’s interviews containing sensitive information, or if you’d just prefer to keep your audio “in your family.”
Community Code
Normally to join a community, you need to create your account and then request to join any communities you would like to become a member of. Using the community code feature makes it quick and easy for people to join your community from within the app at the same time they are creating their account.
*Please note that community codes only allow you to join a community while creating your account on the StoryCorps App. You still need to create an account and then request to join a community if you are creating your account on archive.storycorps.org.
RSS Feed
An RSS feed allows users and applications to access updates to websites in a standardized, computer-readable format. This feature adds an RSS subscription button to your Community page and when enabled, interviews from your community can be fetched by RSS readers like iTunes and Google Play.
Adding Advanced Features to your Community
You can add advanced features to your community when you create your community page or any time after. Once you have entered your payment information, you will have access to all of the advanced features.
For a limited time, we're inviting all users to try out our advanced features for communities for free! Select "I have a coupon code" and enter ARCHIVE.
