With the StoryCorps App, you can download your interview audio directly from the app to your device regardless of whether or not you have uploaded your interview audio to the archive.
To download an interview that has been archived:
- Select the Profile icon in the bottom right corner of the app.
- Select the Interviews box on your profile and then select the interview you want to download.
- On the interview page, select the three dots in the top right corner, and then select Download Audio from the drop-down menu.
- For users with an iOS device: Your interview audio will appear in a media player in your device’s browser. Select the share icon in your browser, and select Save to Files or share the audio using your preferred file sharing or messaging app.
- For users with an Android device: Choose where on your device you want your audio to be saved and select Save.
To download an interview that is still a draft:
- After you have saved your recording as a draft, you’ll be able to download the unpublished draft from the Profile section of the app.
- On the Profile tab, you’ll find the option to Download Audio below your draft interview.
- For users with an iOS device: When prompted, select Save to Files to save your interview to your device, or share the audio using your preferred file sharing or messaging app. (Please note: Audio files may be too large to attach to some message types.)
- For users with an Android device: Choose where on your device you want your audio to be saved and select Save.
